My grandmother recently passed away and while tending to her things, I kept a vintage wool sweater she was excited to have found at a thrift store. (She loved treasure hunting, she called thrift shops "gorgeous wear boutiques".) I bought it in for dry cleaning, not realizing that the sweater's tag recommended against this. My husband picked it up this morning and it's completely ruined, shrunk to half its size. He rushed back, upset on my behalf, and explained that it had been my grandmother's, and was told "it says do not dry clean on the label" and "it wasn't her grandmother's, it had a thrift store tag on it!" It's amazing the details this person remembered about a sweater he turned into garbage. Thanks for ruining something I wanted to wear to remember my grandma, for humiliating my husband, for clearly seeing it was wrecked and wrapping it up in plastic for delivery anyway! What a cruel and horrible joke. If you care about your belongings, or memories for that matter, I would certainly never trust this cleaner with them.

I dropped off a canvas bag with leather handles to be cleaned. It was explained to me they could not clean the leather and that was absolutely fine with me, I only wanted the canvas portion cleaned. I have been going to this dry cleaners for a long time and never had a problem. When I went to pick up my bag it was completely ruined. The gray canvas was completely bleached which makes me wonder the chemicals they are using to clean. I didn't even realize it was possible what they did to my bag, unless they submerged it in bleach for days. The owner was not there so his wife called him. I spoke with him and he told me he was in a meeting and would call me back. Two weeks went by without a call so I went in again. All he said was that I didn't have to pay for the cleaning (or ruining) of my bag. No apologies or offers to make it right. His wife told me it had stains on... Well I believe most people don't bring in completely spotless items to the dry cleaners.. Hence the portion of their name' cleaners'... I understand mistakes happen, but to not offer apologies or to ask how they can make it right it terrible business.

The best dry cleaners in the Casa De Oro/La Mesa area. They are expensive but they do top quality work. Typical turnaround time is 3-4 days but you can request faster service if needed. We have used them also for alterations and to clean large area rugs. The owner gets to know you personally and treat you well.

My order was a pair of white pants I wanted cleaned for an event later that day. There were no stains on them when I dropped them off. When I came back to pick up they had two visible stains and they were still wet which meant my order was NOT ready in time and I paid extra!!! I had to come back the next day because they were closing. When I came back, I asked to be refunded for the extra money paid upfront because my order was not ready. The owner refused to refund me any money. And brushed me off because she was busy. Just lost a customer, first and last time I go there!!!

It was my first and last time at this dry cleaners. I used to pay $2.75 per dress shirt in San Diego. I was charged $5.25 each. My mistake, I should have asked to price, and the sleeves had creases down them as if they were ironed by hand. They don't look professionally cleaned.
